Lombok {Holiday}
Well we have just spent an entire week doing NOTHING!
A holiday from our 'holiday' as everyone reminds us. In November last year, trying to distract myself I booked 7 nights in Lombok, Indonesia.
We stayed at JeevaKlui Resort, near Sengiggi and it was just like the pictures I had seen on the internet. We booked a pool villa, which gave us plenty of space for the four of us. The resort was beautiful and I can't fault the food or the service. Some of the serving staff took a liking to the kids and always made sure to make them laugh or let them feed the fish.
The pictures say it all. It was AMAZING and I can't wait to go back!
.
As you can see we had a wonderful week. Swimming, eating, drinking and relaxing. We did do a little exploring of the island with a quick trip to the little town up the road for a wander around, looking at the furniture and art galleries. We also had a driver for the day and took a trip to the museum in Mataran, a visit to a beautiful old palace, a trip to a weaving place and also a stop at a pottery place.
All in all it was just what we all needed, a chance to turn off and not worry about everyday life.

December & 2013 have passed us by {Home}
December is gone and we have all but said goodbye to 2013. It started as a wonderful year but didn't end anywhere near as well.
December has pasted so slowly but at the same time it has flown by.
The kids have finished school and we have everything ready to start the new year with SIDE again. The camper has been pulled apart, door repaired and put back together. We've had a wedding, a birthday or two, a night away here and there and of course Christmas.
I've tried daily to find something positive in everything we've done. Some days this is harder than others but I'm thankful for my family, both immediate and extended.
We've had many firsts without Mum here, some much harder than others and 2014 will see many more of these. I try hard to remind myself that where ever she is, she is watching down on us all and is there with us in spirit.
I look forward to our next adventure and all that 2014 holds for us {all}.
