Bendigo, Victoria {Caravan Park}

A short drive and we arrived in Bendigo.

Our first stop was the vet clinic to get Lillie her next injection, really important to ensure she didn't pick up any nasties give we have a moving home.  So off the vet I went with Lillie while Justin and the kids explored the park right opposite {can anyone say fluke}.

All vet checked, we went to meet the rest of the family and had a lovely walk around Lake Weeroona.  What a lovely space so close to town, they even have a dog friendly cafĂ© right on the edge of it.  After a coffee and some morning tea we loaded back into the car and headed to our next camping spot.

We picked Park Lane Holiday Park because it was a Top Tourist Park but also because they had something that my two would think of a treat {an indoor play centre}. It was a nice big park, which I imagine would be very full at certain times of the year but thankfully was lovely and quiet after the long weekend.  Set up happened quickly, we made ourselves some lunch and then decided to head back into town for a drive around.

Wednesday saw us spending the morning doing some schoolwork before heading in for a walk around town to get up close and personal with the old buildings.  There is HEAPS of old buildings that are still in an amazing condition, even better was the walk around Rosalind Park which is right in the centre of town {the only downside to that part was the smelly bats in one part of the park}.  Kaleb and I walked to the top of the observation tower which looked out over the city.

Thursday saw morning school work before the boys headed off to take a mine tour at Central Deborah Goldmine.  They had a great time in Australia's biggest 'tourist mine'.  Kyla and I headed to the park for a little while before going back to the caravan park while we waiting to pick them up again.

Friday arrived before we knew it and it was time to pack down and make our way to Albury/Wodonga.

Victor Harbour, Murray Bridge {Traveling}

Leaving Adelaide we headed towards Victor Harbor, a place that Justin has always wanted to visit.  On the way we detoured through MacLauren Vale, which was lovely and green {of course with loads of old houses}.

Arriving in Victor Harbor we headed for a walk around town to explore the buildings and what it had to offer.  Of course finding a lovely place for coffee & cake for morning tea.  After our sit down we made our way to the information centre, where the kids got to see the old horse draw cart {it has been operational since the late 1800's across to the island}.

The next stop on the list was Murray Bridge, where we found a beautiful river side park to have lunch.  We really didn't do this place justice and should've stayed for the night to allow for more exploring but we both decided to 'may hay while the sun was shining'.

Next stop is 42 Mile Beach Camp for the night.

Winning Bush Gymkarna {Event}

We are back for a fun filled weekend again, it was almost like we had never left.

Friday was preparing everything at the grounds ready for what was sure to be a full on few days.  The afternoon came and our handful of children turned into more children than adults, they really do come out of nowhere sometimes, I'm sure of it!  With the children feed, wash and in bed the adults headed to the shed for a few drinks.  It was nice to finally relax and catch up after the crazy week that had been.

I called it an early night, well it was before midnight at least, ready for a long and crazy Saturday.

Kaleb was awake before the sun even rose, he was that excited about riding in the motorbike events.  A big pot of porridge for all and it was time to head over, get covered in dust and watch Kaleb ride his little heart out!  And that he most certainly did.

Kyla had a great time watching everything that was taking place, helping hand out ribbons to the winners and playing with all the other children.  I don't think I saw her for the majority of the weekend, same goes for Kaleb once he had finished his races.

The kids party came and went without a hitch.  We had just enough food and balloons, I swear I've not seen so many children in one places in years.  Not since the kid's went to school!  Thankfully with little real effort the kids all had a fabulous time, listening to music, playing with gloop, play dough and even having a game of pass the parcel.

Sunday made way for the horses, sadly no pictures as I left my camera behind but it was a great watch again.  Though I will admit that I talked way more than I watched.  Horses finished up and it was time for presentations.  Sadly, I again didn't get pictures as I was helping behind the scenes but Kaleb really did clean up!

For a boy who had only learn to ride a two wheel bike two months early, had only had his own for a week and had very little practice of the actual events he did so well.  I was very proud of him, we all were.  He was actually awarded 'Sub-Junior Champion'

Children to bed again, night by the fire and it was time to say goodbye to another day.

Monday was a slow start, packing the camper and then cleaning up the shed before saying our goodbyes to new friends and old before heading back to Wooramel.

Lydon Station {Work}

Third time lucky?

It was certainly another flat tyre on the road into Lyndon.  What is it with this road and our poor camper tyres?

Well not entirely true because we love coming to Lyndon, all of us and Justin was looking forward to finishing everything off.

It is amazing the change a month and some rain can have to the landscape.  There are wildflowers everywhere here, puddles and green.  It really just change the way you see things when this happens, it looks totally different {and has done everytime we have visited this year}.  I went for a drive out exploring wildflowers with Cath one afternoon which was lovely.

Justin did his few days of work, the smalls had funny playing and I had fun pottering & chatting.  We spent Sunday exploring a few spots around Lyndon, which was a first and really enjoyable.

All too soon it was time to move one, with no return for the rest of 2013.

It has been another great visit and I can’t wait to come back.
