Karridale {Visiting & Working}

Now it wouldn't really be a new year on the road without a trip to Karridale, would it?  Of course not!

We did our usual eat, drink, sleep, swim, chat and explore.  This time we did mix it up with some wire lifting in the vineyard and J also did some work around the farm, helping out with netting and some fencing.

Pictures say it all....

The month that was - Karridale {Visiting}

We came over to Karridale to help celebrate a 40th and spend a week.  We ended up staying for the entire month and having a blast.

There is one thing for sure we have cemented friendships, met more wonderful people, drunk too much, ate way too much, sewn lots, swan sum, seen some and eaten more!

It has been fabulous and a nice break {even better to have other children to entertain my two for the holidays}.

We did have a few trips away from the farm, my favourite was a leisurely Sunday drive that saw us end up in Ballingup.  A wonder through the antique stores {and a purchase of some fabulous containers that match a set my Nana has} was by far the highlight, although if you ask the smalls they would say playing on the playground was the best.

Tomorrow we are on the move, time to 'hit the road' and do some traveling and true free camping.  Also time to start back at school for the smalls, Year 2 for my big one and Pre-Primary for the small one {time to find this years bribe to get it done easily and quickly everyday}

All that Karridale has to bring

A fabulous almost two weeks in Karridale has just come to an end.  Great experiences for all of us, great friends and even better company. A lovely ride on the bike, checking on all the pregnant ewes with some new lambs to keep Kyla happy.

We have a wonderful afternoon 4WDing out to Jasper Beach & Jasper Lake.

 A lovely sunset driving home

 A Mother's Day lunch while the men hide in the shed

Beautiful rainbows make the rain worth it
An afternoon wander around The Flying Wardrobe in Witchcliffe, alone, all.by.myself.

 Pregnant ewes that are sick and moved to the house yard, poor love

Frogs visiting the camper at night, was super little and super cute

 An afternoon trip down the creek for boat races

 This is a lonely lamb we found right after it was born {with afterbirth still on his ear}, sadly he adopted the coppers log as his mother so with his terrible nickname "AB = Afterbirth" he has become the first lamb in the nursery for Gemma this season.

And after a fabulous time we are packed up, ready to set off on the next step of our adventure...

We made it all the way to Busselton as the bloody car has to go back to the people who put the chip in it.So fingers crossed it is sorted tomorrow so we can head up to Perth for J to do a week of work, for me to have some work done on my hair, for a quick shop to stock up the camper and then off we head north.  We have to be in Kalbarri by the 2nd June.
