Wickam & Port Hedland {Family Fun}

We broke up our Yanrey stay with a lovely weekend trip north to spend a weekend with my sister, Alison.  A stop in Karratha for supplies and collecting my Dad from the airport before heading to Wickham for the night.

That is where the fun began, Alison, Chris, Justin and myself left Dad with the 5 grandchildren and headed further north to Port Hedland for a weekend at the NorthWest Festival.  It was a wonderful weekend filled with loads of amazing music.

Back to Wickham for a night, which did turn into two before heading back to Yanrey.

It was a great weekend spent with family {even if we did leave with gastro} and I’m hopeful we can make it work again for next year.  Well provided there is artists we actually want to see!

A flying trip

To Perth

Earlier this year I managed to convince J that I needed to book a ticket to go to Missy Higgins and let me tell you I am glad I did.

We came to Perth for the Saturday concert, J laid flooring for our friends, we said goodbye to another good friend who was moving to Sydney and got to see Cass again too.

I did also manage to finish my Christmas shopping, I think that I might just be ready.  Now just need to decide where we will have Christmas {we have been asked to join Jim & family but we are yet to commit to anything}

Southbound

Literally!

We traveled south to Busselton over the weekend to head to Southbound Festival 2012.  I had ummed & arred over going but I was so drawn to the line-up that I just did it and I am so very glad that I did.

Some amazing music in a fabulous location, with wonderful weather {& the company wasn't so bad either}.

A few that I saw over the two days: Josh Pyke, Fleet Foxes, Drapht, John Butler Trio {OMG he is the most amazing musician to see perform live, I want to see him again every.single.week!}, Kimbra, The Jezabels, Missy Higgins {can't wait for her new album}, The Vines & so very much more.

It makes me wish I would be around to head to Bunbury for Grovin the Moo in May, without even seeing the line up!
