Yanrey Station {Working}

Time to head back to Yanrey for some more work. Although this time it was kind of a dump and run.  As in Justin dumped the camper and us {Kaleb, Kyla and myself} and took off to work on the new mining camp for a few weeks.

Was weird, being there knowing that J was working but not seeing him everyday.  Weird having him only pop home for a night once a week and then disappear in the early morning.

Keeping up with school work and keeping the kids happy was actually harder than I thought, given normally J is working when he is home.  Thankfully there was a few adoptive animals around Yanrey that did provide some distract, we also had a visit for a night from some Perth friends.

Needing to distract the kids from the lack of Dad being around, we called in a favour {or ten} and decided to head back to Lyndon.

Yanrey Station {Working}

We blinked at our time back at Yanrey had passed again.

I suspect that was because we tag teamed sickness, but J did manage to finish the kitchen in the homestead and I spent sometime creating.

Yanrey Station {Working}

After having a wonderful picnic there last year we decided to stop at Barridale again on our way to Yanrey.  Was a great idea.

It has taken more than 12 months but we found ourselves back at Yanrey Station again.  Not much has changed mind you, well except for the number of people around for mustering this year.

Justin embarked on bathroom repairs, plumbing issues and restoring one end of the old homestead verandah.  The most exciting, was finishing of the installation of a kitchen in the homestead, it even has running hot & cold water!

While he was working away, we plodding along with our school work.  In between times looking around, cleaning old pressed tin kitchen walls, feeding poddy calves, watching birds and avoiding the dust from the cattle yards.
August said goodbye to September and we also a week later said see you later to Yanrey…..
