Lyndon Station {Working}

Where do I start with this visit?

Alright so as usual Justin worked hard, repairing a verandah, patching 100 year old walls, adding amazing benches to the cottage and too many other things to list.

We had a very full on few weeks, between school and play the time flew by.

There was painting and dodge ball, motorbike and horse riding, full moons and chickens.
Kaleb and Kyla enjoyed being invited to the SoTA camp {at Wooramel}.  It was great to see them join in the activities with all of the children that they know at the school, along with all of those that they don’t.  It was a real learning experience, for both of them in many ways.

The biggest thing to happen this trip however would have to be cutting off my dreadlocks.  From long hot and heavy locks to short hair is a real change that I see lasting for a fair while.

2 Sleeps

It is April already, how on earth did that happen?

Well we have packed everything up and are currently back inside my parents house ready to take of on Wednesday for the start of our adventure.  Alright so it isn't the 'start start' per-say as Justin is staying in Perth for a few more weeks yet to finish so jobs but the smalls and I are leaving {with the car/camper/home}.

We are off to stay in Yallingup for a few weeks with my grandparents who I know will be excited to have us around.  Perfect timing for the school holidays too, not looking to be where everyone is and traveling before all of the crazy people hit the road.

Will give me time to focus on schooling for the smalls while I am not working, to taste some local produce {read wine} and to research some locations we would like to explore later this year.

2 more sleeps until we are out of Perth, 2 more sleeps until we drive our new home to it's new location, 2 more sleeps until we say good buy to family {I know that the smalls with miss their cousins HEAPS as they have spent so much time together over the last three months} and 2 more sleeps until it is a while between play dates with friends xx

The end is near

It is hard to believe after all of this time that we are almost there.  Almost at the end of our stay at my parents place, Almost at the end of my work contract & almost ready to get on the road.

We had a get together on the weekend with close friends.  A chance to have a chat, share some food, a drink & also to let them see inside our new home.  Let's just say that everyone was impressed on all counts, especially with our new home.

Now to work our where to first, exactly!

We know that we are heading south but sadly I think that the smalls & I will take off first as J has to finish a renovation he has started {later than planned}.  So maybe I will go and spend sometimes in wonderful Yallingup with my grandparents.  I know that they would love to have us?

A moment, an idea, a CHANGE

Alright so if you haven't gathered yet I have itchy feet. Terribly itchy feet.

When we brought this house 4 years ago, we needed a bigger house and this place felt right. We moved in and I did like it but to be honest I have never felt truly settled here {neighbors dog drive me batty one side, neighbors drive me batty on the other side and then there is the school parents who park in my driveway}.

So J has been applying for jobs up north so that we can move south {and he will work FIFO} but so far nothing that fits with us as a family, given I like having him around home.

Fast forward to now and he has read an article in a 4x4 magazine and is ready to pack everything up, sell and travel around Australia for 2 years. I am keen but will admit that it does scare me a little.

So I am rambling {BIG TIME} but the gist of it is that he is keen as mustard and I'm ketchup and we are both excited! Just need to work out where we start {other than sorting out the house} and then which way we go....

Right best get back to life and try not to kill my small people who are tired.
