Beanie's Everywhere

As I predicted I have been making beanies like they are going out of fashion and if I am totally honest I do like it as they are simply and require no real thinking, perfect for in the car while I am still trying to look at everything and entertain the child.

So some pictures of the finished products, we now all have beanie's and a few for friends that have asked.

A week in Perth

Well after our fabulous time in Karridale we headed to Perth for what was to be a few nights to sort a few things out, pack somemore items into the sea container and get organised for our journey North!

We stayed with our friends J & P for a few nights and then my folks as there was work to be done which obviously meant money.  This meant we lived in the house for a week, so given it was longer than planned and we ended up going out {in public} for dinner, shopping had to be done.  I managed to get a lovely top to remind me of my youth!

 The smalls had a great time catching up with Aunty P & Uncle J {and I am sure that J missed them when we left as he no longer had company for early morning breakfast} and then with the grandparents & cousins.

My knitting still got done and I got started on some beanies for everyone.  The pattern was super easy and I managed to finish two in the four nights with J & P and start another when we got to Mum & Dads

Everything is packed & ready for our real adventure to start, now that we are all finally together.

Roll on Tuesday.

Knitting

Alright so I can't sew all the time, not always going to have power or space to do it so what can I do with my hands....

KNIT.

I've surprised myself with what I have been able to teach myself, what I can remember and what my lovely Nana has been able to show me while I was staying with her {she actually even gave me some fleece and electric spinning wheel so I can spin my own when we finally stop}.

So I've been creating a blanket jumper for myself.  Something relatively easy to start {even if it is over 25,000 stitches} and easy for me to put on/off

.Now to work out what my next knitting project will be

 {this next little book is a golden oldie that I found at The Flying Wardrobe in Witchcliffe}
