Riding Around

The smalls have bikes & now so do we.

For the first time since I was a teenager.  Now when I say teenager I mean teenager.  Think year nine early 1990, use to get to school bike.

Now at the age of 32 years I now have a new bike.

Learning

We are still on our SIDE journey and it is going well.

There is a lot of work, a lot of documentation that was delivered and a large amount of 'stuff' that myself as the home tutor has to do.  The children are enjoying it so I guess that is something.

Hopefully things will get a little easier when we aren't working & when we are actually on the road and have a routine in place.  That said they are working with the program & also doing other activities so it is working, working better than if I had to develop there everyday activities myself.

It was a good friends little girls birthday recently and to celebrate she had a gathering a local park in Guildford, right on the river.  WOW what a beautiful spot that I have honestly never been to before {even though it is so close to where we lived}.

Schooling journey begins....

After our meeting with SIDE it too a while for the sets of work to arrive so we set about some fun activities to keep smalls entertained as once we have been to meet the 'teachers' he wanted to start right away!

Days 8 to 14

The biggest day of the year

Today was THE DAY!  The day we got our new home, the day our adventure begins.

This morning we left to drive and collect our camper.

We arrive at the transport yard

We have it home, our & set up

Let the packing begin, scary thought that isn't it.

S.I.D.E

The saga of school has finally been sorted.

After more than one flip flop over what to do about the small peoples education we {read I} has finally decided that the best option of us is S.I.D.E

 It is the Western Australia distance education program, short for School of Isolated & Distance Education. I will still have other things we will work on, although with everything exciting that traveling brings to a family with small children but SIDE will give us the structured learning that I feel is important {and that I know my eldest does need}.

We had a meeting with them on today, to see more information on the program, for them to meet the children and for me to meet the teachers. Their are two lovely women who are looking after the early childhood group and I am confident that we can make it work. The structure for me & the small boy is what is needed, while Kyla will just slip in for the first part of the year before she offically starts the Kindy program.

So next week I will not only be a sewing Mum, a contract Mum, but I will also be a teaching Mum. Women of many tricks it would appear.

I have been more than a little slack with uploading this months pictures, so for that reason I have decided to load a week at a time {very slack I know}.
