Koordarrie Station {Work}

Hard to believe that just shy of 12 months late we headed back to Koordarrie Station for some more work.  Rory & Kristie have done heaps around the place since we last left and I even noticed how much the trees had grown!

It was a slow old trip in this time with the Twitchen Road needed some work and us following the convoy of cars/trailers heading home after the Gymkarna.  Rory’s ute by far the funniest with two ponies on the back and two horses in the float on the back.  Most certainly not something I have ever seen before today.

We made it back and set up in our spot from last time, then pottered around for the afternoon looking at and discussing the plans for our stay this time.

Friday came and it saw a trip into Onslow with the two smalls to the hospital.  Yes my two children who know better let someone else put chicken feed in their ears… I couldn’t get it out but thankfully the nurses in town managed to do it for us.  Let’s hope that they have learnt more than one lesson.

Justin really did hit the ground running and the blue sea container went from just that to a complete covered space and enclosed dining room.  Rather than a building in the middle of nowhere it was now a functional and nice looking space.

He also put up a new saddle shed for Kristie.  It meant that she got her laundry back, given how many saddles and accessories she had in their for her horses.

Another job arrived when more rooms arrived for visitors and staff.  J set to work on hooking them up with water and fitting the associating plumbing items into place so that the bathroom could be used.

During all this time we also helped out with mustering was happening, explored the wonderful wildflowers, taught the smalls and even managed a visit to the Ashburton River for a picnic.

Before to long it was time to hit the road again, almost a month again but it feels like we only arrived yesterday.  Well with the exception of the warming weather.
