For the final time this year we are at Winning Station and probably a good thing given how warm it was when we arrived at 10am. After a fleeting conversation with our hosts they disappeared to the airport for their trip overseas, sadly we are not to see them again before we leave here but when they return a new building will be in place {or so is hoped}.
We decided to set up under the verandah this time given the weather,
which turned out to be the right move. It was unbearably hot that first
night, with breeze to bring no relief. Worse still the following day
it was over 40 in the shade!
Time passed while we waited for the
panels to arrive, kids entertained by Kyla and Liam. Justin
entertaining himself. Gardens watered, swimming in the dam, feeding the
chickens/turkies and of course me feeding everyone {maybe I am turning
into a cook?}
The panels arrived and J wasted no time
in getting to work, the end result is something and will no doubt be
even better once it has been fitted out. More pottering, starting back
at school this week and of course watering the garden has seen the
weekend had arrived.
The men folk went to Yanrey last
night {Friday} for some drinks returning just before 1am in the morning
and they are all feeling worst for wear this morning {too old to recover
like they used to I expect}. Sunday tomorrow means we are uppping
stakes and moving south, none to soon given it is all but the dreaded 40
again today in the shade.
Perth is out next short stop before we head further south.
