After more than a month of no love I finally got in to see the wonderful Kath to have some maintenance done on my hair. I'm really loving how they are looking, although if this is one month I hate to think what they will look like when I get back to Kath at the end of the year......

Sandy Cape Recreational Park {Jurien Bay}
We started of from Gingin early and headed to Lanciln for a look-see. WOW this town has changed alot since we last visited {a number of years ago now} and the smalls had a play in the park, walk on the beach and a snack.
Cervantes was next with a stop at the Pinnacles for a look at all the natural wonders and also have a bite for lunch. The smalls thought that it was wonderful, the random sculptures, the view of land & sea. For something seemingly so simple it really was amazing.
Next was our destination Jurien Bay and we decided on Sandy Cape Rec. Park which in a simply spot with drop toilets, no water or showers but the location makes up for it. It cost us $15 per night and we made the decision to stay for 2 nights.
We schooled by sunset, fished, relaxed and generally just enjoyed everything.
Next stop Geraldton, somewhere for a few nights.

First {of many} Rest Stop
Not far from Perth and perfect given we didn't actually leave Perth until 3pm {much later than planned}, this lovely little spot is just off the main drag {as the Moore River Bridge RS was full with no space for us to set up the camper} is called Gingin Brook and it is exactly what it was, right on the Brook.
I was rather impressed with how quickly we managed to set up the camper for an over night spot, under 30 minutes and I had a nice pot of soup sitting on the stove, PERFECT.
We did a little school work with the smalls with the last of the light, ate our dinner by light and then slept early! We decided that the next day we would head towards Jurien for the night with some stops along the way.

A week in Perth
Well after our fabulous time in Karridale we headed to Perth for what was to be a few nights to sort a few things out, pack somemore items into the sea container and get organised for our journey North!
We stayed with our friends J & P for a few nights and then my folks as there was work to be done which obviously meant money. This meant we lived in the house for a week, so given it was longer than planned and we ended up going out {in public} for dinner, shopping had to be done. I managed to get a lovely top to remind me of my youth!
The smalls had a great time catching up with Aunty P & Uncle J {and I am sure that J missed them when we left as he no longer had company for early morning breakfast} and then with the grandparents & cousins.
My knitting still got done and I got started on some beanies for everyone. The pattern was super easy and I managed to finish two in the four nights with J & P and start another when we got to Mum & Dads
Everything is packed & ready for our real adventure to start, now that we are all finally together.
Roll on Tuesday.

All that Karridale has to bring
A fabulous almost two weeks in Karridale has just come to an end. Great experiences for all of us, great friends and even better company. A lovely ride on the bike, checking on all the pregnant ewes with some new lambs to keep Kyla happy.
A lovely sunset driving home
A Mother's Day lunch while the men hide in the shed
Beautiful rainbows make the rain worth it
An afternoon wander around The Flying Wardrobe in Witchcliffe, alone, all.by.myself.
Pregnant ewes that are sick and moved to the house yard, poor love
Frogs visiting the camper at night, was super little and super cute
An afternoon trip down the creek for boat races
This is a lonely lamb we found right after it was born {with afterbirth still on his ear}, sadly he adopted the coppers log as his mother so with his terrible nickname "AB = Afterbirth" he has become the first lamb in the nursery for Gemma this season.
And after a fabulous time we are packed up, ready to set off on the next step of our adventure...
We made it all the way to Busselton as the bloody car has to go back to the people who put the chip in it.So fingers crossed it is sorted tomorrow so we can head up to Perth for J to do a week of work, for me to have some work done on my hair, for a quick shop to stock up the camper and then off we head north. We have to be in Kalbarri by the 2nd June.
We have a wonderful afternoon 4WDing out to Jasper Beach & Jasper Lake.
